I walked in the door and was greated right away by the friendly staff! The dining area is clean and has TVs to watch. I didn't like the food. My husband was upset his money was wasted. We ordered Wings and Ribs. The ribs weren't too bad. You get a lot for the price. Wings were not seasoned. Mac and cheese was..... Yuck! I couldn't even pass the food off to my son who usual eats anything.
I've always heard the food was good here.. it must be since there's always a constant flow of traffic. Finally tried it yesterday. I got the smothered chicken with steamed cabbage and mashed potatoes. I couldn't stop eating it. I haven't had food that tasted that good in a while! Going back today!
The sides could use more seasonings. The green beans are sooo bland. And the Mac and cheese needs help. Needs more cheese and less sugar. The meats are amazing. But the side dishes..ALL of them.. needs more flavor.
Every time I come here everyone is so welcoming and hospitable. The food is AMAZING & DELICIOUS! I go as often as possible for the food and service. Not many restaurants have great quality in both areas. Enjoy!!!
Food was amazing and the Fried Whiting was perfect with seasonings. Mixed Greens and Macaroni & Cheese was truly home cooked...just like your grandmother. I would highly recommend anyone that wanted a true Southern home-cooked meal stop by and taste the true soul food.#werateyou
