A great place to go and relax by the water. I've ridden the alum Creek Trail through this park numerous times and have never really stopped to hang out. Rode our bicycles down from Easton to this place and decided to spend a few hours here for the 4th of July. It was quiet, relaxing, and quite enjoyable. A lot of wildlife that is attracted to the water. Saw quite a few baby geese and baby ducklings swimming around. Definitely a great place to take the family and have a nice quiet time in the park.
Friendly park rangers. Well kept park with many options and trails.
Lots of space.
It's so hard to choose a favorite Metro Park, but this is up there. My favorite section is the Heron Pond area. Everything about it - the pond, the pine trees, the playground, the bike trail, the nature trail and natural play area - makes for a pleasant experience in nature.
TIP: Get a metro parks brochure for events! Trunk or treat for kids coming up.
Regular activities too.
Very well maintained, expansive park, beautiful at all times of the day. The Rangers here are very nice and helpful and do a great job keeping this a safe place to enjoy.
Pokemon, picnics, ponds and playgrounds. My family couldn't ask for more! ☺☺ Love coming out to this park.
